Friends of R V Mission secretary’s annual visit to R V Mission; 2013
Samir Ghosh visits the Mission every year and in January and February this year he has spent several weeks meeting all our sponsored children at different centres of the Mission including Purulia, Joyrambati, Dweepa and many other places. He has distributed New Year cakes to all children at the Mission funded by Helen Cruickshank, Johanna Wild, Sharmin Panna, Gill Robinson, Ann Roberts, Mrs Anderton and also himself. Samir has also donated on behalf of Johanna Wild £380 to purchase books and equipments for Patharmura school of R V Mission.
He had two meetings with the Secretary Swami Nityananda discussing different programmes including a small unit building project proposal for children of leprosy sufferers to Order of St Lazarus in Purulia. He had several meetings with Swami Nityarupananda and also met the volunteers and workers at R V Mission and its branches. Samir donated full cost for the library for the school founded by Friends of R V Mission at the Purulia branch using contribution donated by few kind donors, to purchase books and equipments, around £1600 from his personal resources, total around £2500. He went to few places in Purulia to organize purchase of library building materials, which is now started and ongoing.
He also visited new centre of the Mission at Mandermoni in Digha sea resort and offered help towards building a library with computer facilities at the new school.
Samir has also visited Leprosy Village in Purulia to inspect repaired street solar light, repair cost was donated by the Order of St Lazarus Lancs., including several solar lights already purchased funded by them. He personally donated fund to repair water pump at the Leprosy Village and met all leprosy sufferers with Asst Secretary of R V Mission and explained to them about regular healthcare programme offered by the Order of St Lazarus through Leprosy Mission Hospital and R V Mission in Purulia.
Samir has donated on behalf of all sponsors £4510 as maintenance cost for six months, towards sponsorship of 92 Children in different centres of R V Mission.
