The Mission

The Mission's objectives are:


To provide homes for orphan and distressed children and arrange for their education, food, clothing healthcare, vocational training and other facilities.

To provide holistic care for destitute women.
To run Training Centres in the trades of tailoring and sewing, shoe production, fruit preservation, spice grinding, printing press, nursing, mushroom cultivation and chalk making.
To provide homes for elderly. 
To provide relief from the effects of Leprosy
To organize relief work during natural disasters and extensive relief work is done for the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake at the Andaman Islands.
Provide a public library with more than 12,000 books.
To provide mobile healthcare unit and pharmacy for people living in villages
Provide a publication department for printing and publishing books of general and spiritual interest.
Recently steps have been taken to set up a University after the name of Swami Vivekananda to encourage progression of higher education enabling opportunities to poor people and a suitable piece of land near Kolkata has been procured for this purpose.
