Picture quiz update
This year's picture quiz, organised by David Haywood, raised a magnificent amount of £635, which will go towards the nutritional and medical visits to the Purulia Leprosy Village, co-ordinated by the RV Mission. The quiz was won by Mrs Margaret Thompson, from Saddleworth, and the picture shows her receiving her prize from Edna Green.

New Water Purification unit
A new water purification unit is installed at the Leprosy Hospital of Believers’ Church of Purulia India sponsored by Order of St Lazarus and organised by Ramakrishna Vivekananda Mission India.
The unit has been installed as a result of a Fundraising Quiz held by the members and friends of the Commandery of John of Gaunt. It has been of enormous benefit for leprosy patients and also staff members and local residents especially as the temperature is now around 50 degree C in that area.
